However, after it was unveiled that Tyler was the Hyde at the end of Season 1, their relationship appears to be over for now in Season 2. Netflix has announced that Noah B. Taylor’s character Bruno in the upcoming Season 2 of Wednesday will be a captivating heartthrob. This new character is introduced as a member of the wolf pack at Nevermore Academy, with roots tracing back to the Philippines. Bruno is also portrayed as the academy’s latest heartthrob and possessing a mysterious brooding intensity. As part of the werewolf faction at Nevermore, Bruno will be among several significant groups at the school alongside vampires and sirens.

In an unexpected twist, Wednesday’s Season 2 introduces a fresh love interest despite Jenna Ortega previously stating that the new season would forgo any romantic interests for Wednesday. With her dual roles as lead and producer for Season 2, Ortega emphasized in a 2023 interview with Variety that the focus of the new season will be on enhancing the horror elements instead of romance.

“We’re ditching any romantic love interest for Wednesday, which is really great.”

Originally, Ortega expressed her doubts about the love triangle involving Wednesday, Tyler, and Xavier (Percy Hynes White) in Season 1. As a producer in Season 2, it appears that one of Ortega’s requests is to minimize or eliminate romantic complications for the character of Wednesday moving forward.

Previews for “Wednesday” Season 2 hint at a fresh enigma that the character must unravel (accompanied by numerous ominous adversaries). Her foresight suggests disaster for her closest companion, Enid (Emma Myers), and she must manage multiple family responsibilities as the Addams temporarily reside at Nevermore. The second season of “Wednesday” will be divided into two parts on Netflix, premiering on August 6 and September 3.

Will Bruno Be a Love Interest for Wednesday (or Someone Else)?

Given that Wednesday has a busy schedule in Season 2 and Ortega mentioning that her character won’t have a romantic interest this time around, it still leaves us wondering who might catch Bruno’s eye as a possible love interest.

It seems more plausible that Bruno could vie for Wednesday’s closest friend, Enid, who is also part of the wolf pack, for affection. In Season 1, Enid developed romantic feelings for Ajax (Georgie Farmer), a Gorgon at Nevermore. Farmer has been confirmed to return for Season 2, but Netflix suggests there might be troubles in paradise for Enid and Ajax. They have reportedly spent the summer apart, and Enid is said to be uncertain about whether Ajax remains her ideal match: she’s “pondering” if he’s still the right one for her.

In the first season, Ajax captured Enid’s affections. However, following a summer spent apart, she’s questioning whether Ajax continues to stir her heart or if her feelings towards him have become as solid as stone.

In Season 2, the arrival of Bruno might stir doubts in Enid about her connection with Ajax, as the plot seems to be shifting the focus of romantic entanglements away from Wednesday towards a potential love triangle involving Enid, Bruno, and Ajax.
