Netflix’s thrilling series Untamed is adding acclaimed actor Shea Whigham to its cast for Season 2. Whigham will play Ray Burkart, a businessman with a key role in a new murder mystery. The story picks up with Eric Bana’s character, Kyle Turner, continuing his investigation after the events of Season 1. This time, his search leads him to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, where he crosses paths with Burkart while looking into the death of Burkart’s son.
Kelly Hu, known for her roles in shows like The Orville and Arrow, is joining Season 2 of the Netflix series as a new character named Awapuhi. Awapuhi recently returned to Hawai’i Island after spending several years on O’ahu mourning the loss of her son, and she’s now confronting her personal struggles.
The first season of Untamed felt like a blend of Yellowstone and Ozark, and Eric Bana is eager to begin filming the next season, which is expected to be available to stream early next year.
We’re so excited to start working on a new season of Untamed! The positive reaction to Season 1 shows how hard our team worked to create something special. I’m really looking forward to continuing Kyle’s story, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support of Netflix, John Wells Productions, Warner Bros. Television, and all of our fans.
