As a big Disney fan, I’ve learned that my favorite rides *will* eventually change. It’s just part of the magic! Whether a ride gets completely reimagined or just gets some new additions, things are always being updated. It’s tough when they tweak a classic I love, but I’ve also realized that for every change fans don’t like, there’s usually one that everyone ends up loving. It’s all part of keeping the parks fresh and exciting, I guess!
Recently, Disney World announced significant updates to two rides at Epcot – one of which is also available at Disneyland. I have mixed feelings about these changes; I’m really looking forward to one, but the other is a bit disappointing.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Is Losing Its 3D
Two months ago, Disneyland Paris announced changes to its *Ratatouillethemed ride, “Remy’s Totally Zany Adventure,” removing its 3D video components. I predicted then that the same thing might happen to the ride at Epcot, and recently, that prediction came true. The Epcot ride will be temporarily closed next month to make the same changes.
I was disappointed to see the video part of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure changed to 2D – it doesn’t have the same impact as it did in 3D. The 3D effect really enhanced the experience, and that’s something theme parks can uniquely offer that you can’t get anywhere else.
I’m not ruling out riding Remy again, but I’m definitely not as eager to do so next time. That’s probably fine, though, since I’m much more excited about an upcoming change to another ride in Epcot.

Soarin’ Across America Is Coming to Epcot and Disney California Adventure
In 2026, the United States will celebrate its 250th birthday. Disney, known for its elaborate patriotic shows like the ‘America Sings’ animatronic spectacular created for the country’s bicentennial, is planning a special commemoration. As part of this celebration, ‘Soarin’ Across America’ will replace ‘Soarin’ Around the World’ at both Epcot and Disney California Adventure next summer.
The theme park revealed its latest feature with a special message from Patrick Warburton, the actor who narrates the ride’s safety video. He delivered the news with a patriotic twist, and honestly, it was fantastic. A job well done!

We don’t yet know when the new Soarin’ video will be released or how long it will be. This will be the third version of the ride shown in U.S. Disney parks. The original, “Soarin’ over California,” still plays at Disney California Adventure for a few months each year. The current version, “Soarin’ Around the World,” recently had a significant issue with the tilting effect during the Eiffel Tower scene fixed.
I’m excited about this update! While it’s impossible to know if the new ‘Soarin’ version will be the best one yet, ‘Soarin” is consistently enjoyable, and it’ll be great to experience a refreshed version of the ride for as long as it’s available.
