Tunnels begins with reporters Pam and Sharon looking into the disappearances of several homeless individuals. Their search leads them into the city’s sewer system, where rumors of enormous rats abound. The two reporters uncover a much larger and more dangerous story than their publisher wants to share, leading them on a confrontation with the truth hidden beneath the city in the sewers.
