Stumble
NBC’s new comedy, Stumble, premiered on Friday, November 7th. It’s a funny, documentary-style show – similar to The Office and Parks and Recreation – that follows the intense and hilarious world of junior college cheerleading.
The new comedy series Stumble is getting great reviews, with an 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. If you enjoy shows like The Paper and Superstore, you’ll probably like this one. It stars well-known actors including Taran Killam (Saturday Night Live), Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies), and recent Emmy winner Jeff Hiller (Somebody Somewhere).
St. Denis Medical
St. Denis Medical is a funny, documentary-style sitcom on NBC that’s currently in its second season. The first two episodes of the new season came out last week on both NBC and Peacock, and new episodes will be released every Monday this fall.
St. Denis Medical has earned a positive 81% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is currently one of the most popular shows on Peacock in the U.S. It’s a heartwarming series about a hospital with limited resources, making it a great choice for both medical professionals and anyone looking for a comforting, feel-good show.
Community
As a total movie and TV buff, I have to say every Peacock subscriber needs to check out Community. It’s a seriously hilarious show and, honestly, it has one of the best comedy casts I’ve ever seen on TV. Created by Dan Harmon, the guy behind Rick & Morty, it’s got Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Donald Glover, Allison Brie, Ken Jeong, Chevy Chase, and a whole bunch of other amazing actors. Plus, critics seem to agree it’s great – it has an 88% score on Rotten Tomatoes!
Community is a hilarious show that successfully mixes classic comedy tropes with a modern, inventive style. Over six seasons and 110 episodes, it aired on NBC from 2009 to 2015. While fans have been waiting for a movie for nearly ten years, this often-overlooked series remains one of the best comedies of the 21st century.
Twisted Metal
Twisted Metal is an action-packed sci-fi series on Peacock inspired by the famous video game. The show has two seasons, totaling 22 episodes that are around 30 minutes each, making it perfect for a weekend binge.
Twisted Metal stars Anthony Mackie, Will Arnett, and Thomas Haden Church in a story about a loner named John Doe. He’s tasked with delivering a strange package across a dangerous, ruined world, hoping for a chance at a better life. If you were a fan of Mad Max: Fury Road, you’ll likely enjoy this show, which earned a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes for its second season.
Poker Face
Peacock’s Poker Face is truly one of their standout original series. Starring the incredibly talented Natasha Lyonne – a five-time Emmy nominee – the show comes from Rian Johnson, the creator of popular films like Knives Out, Brick, and Looper.
With a remarkable 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes, Poker Face centers around Charlie Cale (Lyonee), a wandering soul who has a knack for uncovering the truth – she can tell when anyone is lying. Think of it as a fresh, updated take on the Columbo formula. It’s incredibly addictive, a lot of fun to watch, and easily the best show you can stream on Peacock right now.
