The performer known for portraying Marvel’s Trickster-turned-Taleweaver has another tale to share, and it appears to be in development. In a recent chat, Loki actor Tom Hiddleston revealed the impending premiere of The Night Manager Season 2.
As a dedicated fan eagerly anticipating the next chapter of “The Night Manager”, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news from my recent chat with BBC! After immersing myself in the world of Loki in 2023 on Disney+, I’m now ready to return to the small screen for the long-awaited second season. While it’s been a nine-year journey since Season 1, rest assured that production wrapped up in August 2024 (as reported by Variety). With this update from me, you can count on hearing about the release date very soon!

The TV series “The Night Manager,” adapted from John le Carré’s novel, debuted in 2016. It starred Tom Hiddleston as Jonathan Pine, a former British soldier turned night manager at a luxury hotel, who found himself tasked with infiltrating the inner circle of arms dealer Richard Roper, played by Hugh Laurie. Hiddleston’s performance earned him two Primetime Emmy Award nominations and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.
Alongside Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie, Olivia Colman, Elizabeth Debicki, Diego Calva, and Dave Harewood, the six-part series features its main cast. The successful series was renewed for seasons two and three by BBC One and Amazon Prime Video in April 2024, with Diego Calva hinting that a new love triangle will unfold in the next season’s storyline. Currently, you can stream Season 1 on Amazon Prime Video.
Tom Hiddleston Set To Shine in Two Big Projects
After his role as Jonathan Pine in “The Night Manager”, Tom Hiddleston has kept himself occupied by portraying Loki in multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe films and two seasons of “Loki” on Disney+. He’s also anticipated to participate in the filming of “Avengers: Doomsday”, scheduled for release in cinemas on December 18, 2026, which might involve a reunion with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.
In his reprisal of his renowned character in “The Night Manager,” Hiddleston demonstrates a new facet of his acting abilities, but it’s essential to acknowledge the transformation he brought to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Loki, turning him from an antagonist to a protagonist over the last nine years. With Season 2 of “The Night Manager” eagerly anticipated by critics for another glimpse of Hiddleston’s portrayal of Jonathan Pine, the upcoming film “Doomsday” offers an even larger platform for the actor to exhibit his development and range, as well as his evolution of the Loki character within the MCU.
Consequently, with Season 2 of “The Night Manager” and Tom Hiddleston’s continuing appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there’s a lot for fans of his work to anticipate. It will indeed be intriguing to witness how he portrays these characters in the upcoming months.
