Season 2 of is officially on its way!
As a big fan of the show, I was thrilled to see Emmett J. Scanlan – who plays Paul O’Donnell – announce on Instagram that he’d finished filming his scenes for season two! It seems like filming is officially done, because several other people involved, including Alex Fine, Robbie Taylor, and makeup artist Tahiyya Ali, all posted this week saying they’ve wrapped up too. It’s getting me even more excited for the new season!
Fine announced the completion of Mobland PPlus season 2 with a post saying “@mobland_pplus season 2 wrap with the mandem,” and shared behind-the-scenes photos from the London filming location.
Taylor shared that the cast and crew had a wrap party to celebrate finishing the project. She described it as a fantastic night spent with wonderful people, and posted a photo slideshow that even included a picture of the special menu they had.
Ali recently shared some makeup looks she created on set over the past six months, fondly remembering her time working with the team from Mobland and their animal companions.
Following a post by Scanlan, who described filming season 2 as both “insane” and “sublime” in a video shared on Saturday, fans learned he had a fantastic experience working on the show’s second season.
The crime series Mobland, directed by Guy Ritchie, was a big success on Paramount+ in spring 2025 and has already been renewed for a second season. Starring Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren, season 2 began filming in London in fall 2025 and seems to be ahead of schedule. Originally planned for release in 2026, Mobland season 2 might actually arrive even earlier than anticipated, with a release date announcement potentially coming soon. The show centers on the Harrigan crime family and their troubles with rival groups, with Hardy playing the family’s ‘fixer’.
Season two of MobLand brings back familiar faces like Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Anson Boon, Lara Pulver, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Teddie Allan, Janet McTeer, and Toby Jones, alongside Hardy, Brosnan, Mirren, Fine, and Scanlan. Guy Ritchie also returned as director and executive producer.
Now that filming for MobLand season 2 has finished, Paramount+ will probably announce a release date soon, or at least give us a more specific timeframe for when it will premiere in 2026.
