Today Is a Magical Day for Harry Potter Fans

I still can’t believe it’s been over twenty years since the first Harry Potter film came out! Even though the original movies finished in 2011 after ten amazing years, I’m so thrilled that the Wizarding World is still going strong, and we now have two fantastic new films to enjoy!

Audible and Potterhead Publishing have teamed up for a big project: complete audiobooks of the Harry Potter series, read by a full cast. The first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, is now available, with new installments coming out monthly. And for fans of baking, Season 2 of Wizards of Baking is also popular, quickly gaining viewers according to FlixPatrol.

A brand new audiobook is coming that will immerse both longtime Harry Potter fans and newcomers in the wizarding world. While the original books were wonderfully narrated by Jim Dale and Stephen Fry, this version will feature a full cast of over 200 actors, offering a fresh and expanded experience. It’s not meant to replace the previous versions, but rather to add another layer to the story’s universe.

According to Bob Carrigan, CEO of Audible, their latest release will significantly change how audiobooks are created. He believes it will dramatically improve the format and redefine what audiobooks are capable of, marking a key turning point not only for Audible but for the entire audiobook industry.

According to Rachel Ghiazza, Audible’s Chief Content Officer, the latest version is expected to exceed the already impressive 1.8 billion hours of listening time accumulated by previous releases. She believes it will attract both audiobook fans and those who enjoy stories told by a single narrator.

She explained that this new format will attract people who don’t usually listen to audiobooks, like those who prefer movies, TV, or podcasts – especially because podcasts often combine different audio styles. She believes it will also be a fantastic way for families to enjoy stories together.
