With fans speculating about Tobey Maguire potentially returning as Spider-Man in future Marvel films like Avengers: Doomsday, Hot Toys has unveiled a remarkably detailed figure of his Spider-Man from the original Sam Raimi movie. Maguire recently reprised his role as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home, teaming up with Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield to fight classic villains. As fans eagerly anticipate his next appearance, possibly in Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars, Hot Toys has created a highly accurate figure capturing a memorable moment from Maguire’s first Spider-Man film.

Hot Toys has revealed a highly detailed, 1/6th scale figure of Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man, depicting a battle-damaged version from the 2002 film directed by Sam Raimi. The figure captures a particularly vulnerable but heroic moment from his final fight with Green Goblin.

This collectible figure features a highly detailed Spider-Man head sculpt, realistically portraying battle damage like a torn mask and cracked lenses. It offers a glimpse of Tobey Maguire’s face underneath, capturing his exact appearance from the movies.

The Hot Toys figure beautifully recreates the climactic battle between Spider-Man and Green Goblin, complete with a detailed base that captures the intensity of the movie’s ending and the challenges faced by both characters.

The intense fight between Spider-Man and Green Goblin is remembered for how Peter Parker resisted Norman Osborn’s manipulation until the very last moment, making his death all the more powerful and heartbreaking.

Along with the announcement, Hot Toys showed off everything that comes with their incredibly detailed figure. This includes lots of extras, like different hands, an extra head with a mask, and a Green Goblin helmet that looks like it’s been through a fight.

You’ll soon be able to pre-order the 1/6 scale figure from Sideshow Collectibles. A specific release date hasn’t been announced yet.

As a critic, I have to say Sam Raimi’s 2002 Spider-Man still holds up as a cornerstone of the modern superhero movie. It’s the film that really launched the big-screen Marvel universe as we know it, perfectly capturing the origin story of Peter Parker – brilliantly played by Tobey Maguire – and pitting him against a truly menacing Green Goblin, brought to life by Willem Dafoe, who, of course, we’ve seen revisit the role more recently. Kirsten Dunst and James Franco also round out a fantastic cast. I remember seeing it when it first hit theaters on May 3rd, 2002, and it was a game-changer.

How Tobey Maguire’s Rumored MCU Return Could Forever Change the Character 

It’s interesting that Hot Toys just announced a highly detailed Tobey Maguire figure, especially since reports surfaced in December 2025 suggesting he’ll be returning to play his Marvel character in Avengers: Doomsday. While it seems likely Marvel is keeping his return a secret, it’s always possible they could surprise everyone with an early announcement and confirm those reports sooner than expected.

Maguire’s possible appearance in Doomsday would completely change the character due to the high stakes that the movie presents regarding incursions. There is a strong chance that the universe of Maguire’s Spider-Man may have already succumbed to the Multiversal incursions, meaning that seeing him again would feel completely different than what fans saw during his appearance in No Way Home. 

Instead of the cheerful Peter Parker that fans saw in the Tom Holland-led film, Doomsday could showcase a version of the hero who is grieving and determined to make things right following the loss of everyone closest to him. 

Hot Toys has done an excellent job with the new Tobey Maguire figure, capturing incredible detail that will bring back fond memories of the movie and Peter Parker’s epic battle with the Green Goblin. Ultimately, this figure highlights just how iconic and memorable Maguire’s portrayal of Spider-Man truly is.
