During a recent interview with Vogue, Timothée Chalamet talked about losing the Best Actor Oscar to Adrien Brody. Brody won the award for his role in The Brutalist, while Chalamet was nominated for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in James Mangold’s film, A Complete Unknown. Chalamet described how it felt to not win, saying:

I always think about it this way: if you’re at an awards show with five nominees, and four of them don’t win, it’s pretty safe to assume those four are feeling pretty disappointed, right? They’re probably not celebrating at the after-party!

It’s commendable that the actor openly shared his disappointment about not winning the award, as performers usually keep those feelings private.

Many actors are finding success on television, but Timothée Chalamet is focused on making his mark in film. His upcoming movie, Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie, has already received positive reviews, with many praising Chalamet’s performance and predicting an Oscar nomination. He’s also currently filming Dune: Part Three with Denis Villeneuve, where his character will face a new set of challenges. Chalamet seems committed to taking on demanding roles in feature films, and for now, that doesn’t include any plans for television work.
