As a big movie fan, I just heard that Tim Pool, the media personality, is refusing to promote the new Animal Farm adaptation from Angel Studios and Andy Serkis. Apparently, he really disagrees with how they’ve chosen to interpret the story, and doesn’t want to run ads for it because of that.
So, I heard from a friend that Jordan Peele’s team reached out to my show about doing some promotion for the new film. I watched it, and honestly, I decided it wasn’t a good fit for our audience. Just didn’t feel right, you know?
Pool Declines Advertising Opportunity
Pool stated the decision was made after a request from Angel Studios regarding the film’s distribution.
ANNOUNCEMENT
Next week, Timcast IRL will be running advertisements for the film Animal Farm, which is being distributed by Angel Studios.
Angel studios has done tremendous work in the past and I have been a fan for some time.
However
I am rejecting these ads outright as the film is…

According to Timcast IRL’s Tim Pool, they’ve been asked to run advertisements for the upcoming film Animal Farm, which is being distributed by Angel Studios. Pool mentioned he’s previously been impressed with Angel Studios and supports their work.
Despite that, Pool said he chose to reject the advertising deal.
Objections to Film’s Interpretation
Pool’s criticism centered on what he described as the film’s thematic direction.
I’m completely rejecting these advertisements because the film is deeply offensive. Having seen the entire movie, I can say it strongly promotes communism and opposes capitalism. Throughout the film, it consistently criticizes capitalism and even contains elements that seem to support left-wing extremism.
Pool felt the adaptation strayed from the spirit of the original book, as he understood it.
George Orwell’s Animal Farm, first published in 1945, is a well-known story that uses animals to criticize the Soviet communist system. It tells the story of farm animals who rebel against their farmer hoping for a fairer life, but their revolution slowly goes wrong when the pigs take control.

Orwell wrote this story to warn us about how easily good intentions and revolutions can be twisted and corrupted. The pig named Napoleon, who takes over the farm, is often seen as a symbol of Joseph Stalin, and the story as a whole shows how a movement that starts with the people can turn into a controlling, oppressive government.
George Orwell’s Animal Farm is now a classic work of political writing, often seen as a warning about the dangers of concentrated power and extreme beliefs. The novel’s lasting message – that even revolutions aiming for fairness can lead to tyranny – is a major reason why it remains one of the most studied and debated books of the 20th century.
Acknowledging Business Impact
Pool admitted that turning down advertising could cost them money, but he explained he felt it was important to share his views.

He admitted that speaking out against the film might seem unwise for an advertising company, but he felt strongly enough about how offensive it was that he had to release a statement. He hopes Angel Studios will correct its mistake and return to producing uplifting content like it has before, but he won’t support or defend what he sees as a disrespectful treatment of a beloved book and its important themes.
Confirms He Viewed the Entire Film
After users challenged his review, Pool clarified that he had based his opinion on watching the entire movie.
For clarity, yes I have seen the entire film
