The White Lotus Surges on Streaming Ahead of Season 4

Okay, so we’re all still waiting for the new season of ‘The White Lotus,’ which is killing me! But, if you’re like me and need a fix now, the earlier seasons are doing surprisingly well as rentals. I was checking the Apple TV Store and saw they’re actually really popular right now – it’s great to revisit those seasons while we wait for what’s next. Mike White really created something special!

As of January 21st, the award-winning show The White Lotus has become very popular on Apple TV+, ranking ninth among its top 10 series. While it’s behind other HBO hits like Game of Thrones, IT: Welcome to Derry, and Euphoria (which is currently number one), it still outperformed True Detective, which was in tenth place.

Since it debuted in 2021, The White Lotus has become a hit with both viewers and critics, thanks to its impressive cast including Jennifer Coolidge, Parker Posey, Sam Rockwell, Aubrey Plaza, Walton Goggins, and Blackpink’s Lalisa Manoban. The show cleverly uses the setting of a luxurious hotel to poke fun at themes of wealth and privilege. It currently has a 77% audience score and a 90% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The television series The White Lotus is critically acclaimed for its sharp observations about society and the impressive work of its actors. It’s become a consistent choice for awards, having won six Emmys from 33 nominations and two Golden Globes from 11 nominations.

The White Lotus‘ Fourth Season Is In The Works At HBO

With excitement building for the fourth season, The White Lotus is once again popular on streaming platforms. Although those involved with the show – both from White Lotus and HBO – haven’t revealed many details about the new season, it will continue the anthology format with a new murder mystery and take place in a fictional location.

Filming will begin in April at the Château de La Messardière, a luxurious hotel built in a 19th-century castle. Because of the location, some believe the central mystery of the show will involve the Cannes Film Festival, which happens in the South of France every spring.

I’m still not sure how much the fancy film festival will actually be a part of the new season, but things are looking really good with the cast! Last month, we found out that Alexander Ludwig, who you probably know from Vikings, and AJ Michalka from The Goldbergs will be joining us. And that’s not all – Caleb Jonte Edwards from Black Snow and the hilarious Steve Coogan are also confirmed to be in the series, which is fantastic news!

In addition to the official cast news, there’s been speculation that Helena Bonham Carter might also appear in the series, potentially during a storyline set in France.

The first three seasons of The White Lotus are currently available to stream on HBO Max.
