A little-known crime thriller featuring Jeffrey Dean Morgan is gaining popularity on a streaming service. Fans also noticed a surprise appearance from a cast member of The Boys, making it a mini-reunion for the show’s fans.

The film, directed by Duncan Skiles and written by Sean Farley and Ed Deerman, centers around Ed, a man approached by his neighbor, Simon (played by Jack Quaid). Simon claims he saw a woman being kidnapped, but no one believes him because he lives with paranoid schizophrenia. Ed, though initially doubtful, becomes Simon’s unexpected partner in trying to solve the mystery.
In addition to Jack Quaid and Antony Starr, known for their roles as Hughie and Homelander in the Prime Video series The Boys, Neighborhood Watch features Cecile Cubiló as Detective Liz Glover and Malin Akerman as DeeDee McNally, Simon’s sister. The film also includes performances by Jim Klock, Creek Wilson, Griffin Hood, Billy Culbertson, and Harrison Stone, completing the cast.
The movie Neighborhood Watch became available to rent or buy online on April 25, 2025. It also played in a few theaters for a very short time. While in cinemas, it earned a little over $35,000 and generally received good feedback from both critics and viewers.
