Police say Amy Blanc Lacy was in a hit-and-run crash on September 1st while she was stopped in her car with her two sons.

I’ve been following this case closely, and reports say the driver, 31-year-old Buck Rollins, was heading west on Northside Parkway in Atlanta around 5 PM. Apparently, he lost control of his Hyundai Elantra and slammed right into Lacy’s Toyota Prius as she was driving through the intersection at Mount Paran Road. It’s just a terrible situation, and I feel for everyone involved.

Lacy was a passenger in a Prius driven by her 23-year-old son, Oliver, when it was hit by a car driven by Rollins. Her other son, 25-year-old Adrian, was also in the vehicle. The collision injured Lacy and both of her sons, and they were all taken to the hospital. Sadly, Lacy passed away on September 5th.

Okay, so I’ve been following this case, and apparently, the reports show Rollins was absolutely flying – over 90 miles per hour – in a 45 zone right before the crash. What’s even crazier is he just *kept driving* afterwards, didn’t even stop until he got near the I-75 bridge. Now, he’s saying he blacked out due to a seizure and doesn’t remember any of it, which is… a lot to take in.

I was shocked to hear the news about the driver, Buck Rollins, being arrested. Apparently, the police have charged him with some really serious offenses – first-degree vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, and speeding. From what I understand, he’s been released on a $70,000 bond, so he’s out for now, but still facing these charges.

After the passing of Amy Blanc Lacy, many people in the entertainment industry have shared heartfelt tributes. Among those remembering her are Khary Payton from The Walking Dead and Erin Lee Carr, director of Murdaugh: Death in the Family.
