The Punisher & Spider-Man To Team up & Fight [Spoiler] in Brand New Day

I’m getting so excited for the new Spider-Man movie, Brand New Day! I just heard about a scene they’ve been working on, and it sounds absolutely incredible – it’s shaping up to be one of the most thrilling parts of the whole film.

New reports suggest Spider-Man and the Punisher will team up to fight agents from the Department of Damage Control who are under mind control.

The Punisher and Spider-Man to fight mind-controlled DODC agents

Marvel is being secretive about the details, but sources say Tom Holland’s Spider-Man won’t be working alone in the next movie. A scene has reportedly been filmed where Spider-Man teams up with the Punisher (Frank Castle) to fight mind-controlled DODC agents. These agents are apparently trying to break The Scorpion out of prison, and it’s unclear who is controlling them.

With the introduction of The Scorpion and familiar faces like The Hulk and Tombstone, plus a new character played by Sadie Sink, the movie seems to be focusing on gritty, down-to-earth action. Though there’s talk of a new female villain, many fans believe Mister Negative will play a role, connecting to the story’s origins in the comics.

The scene involving mind control seems to be part of a bigger, action-packed storyline in the movie. Recent reports suggest there will be incredibly intense fight scenes featuring Spider-Man, Punisher, and Hulk, where they initially fight each other before eventually teaming up. It’s also been noted that Jon Bernthal didn’t film many scenes himself, relying heavily on a stunt double for the action sequences.

Kevin Feige discussed what fans can expect when the Punisher appears in a future Spider-Man movie, noting it will have a different feel than previous appearances. He explained that the upcoming story, inspired by “Brand New Day,” will focus on smaller, local crimes rather than a large, multiverse-spanning plot. Feige emphasized that after the events of “No Way Home,” Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is truly becoming a hero dedicated to protecting his city and tackling everyday crime. (via Comic Book Movie)

Brand New Day swings into theaters on July 31, 2026.
