Colin Farrell doesn’t think The Penguin Season 2 is ‘a good idea’
In a chat with Deadline, I (as a devoted fan) found myself reflecting on Colin Farrell’s thoughts about potentially moving forward with a second season of The Penguin. It seems he believes it might not align perfectly with the vision for the HBO miniseries.
The experienced actor expressed uncertainty about whether The Penguin Season 2 will occur, and he voiced his opinion on the matter. He suggested that he’s hesitant about reprising his role in the Batman spin-off series. “I’ve picked up hints that they might consider a second season,” he said, “but I’m not sure it’s wise. I can’t quite put my finger on how to return to the source again… A part of me wants to say, ‘Let it rest, let it be enjoyed as it is,'” Farrell explained.
Although he doubts the future success of The Penguin series, the Academy Award-nominated actor has confirmed his willingness to return for Season 2, provided the creators can develop an engaging plotline worthy of interest. “To put it simply, if they present a compelling concept or something along those lines, then absolutely I’d consider it,” Farrell said.
As of now, The Penguin Season 2 is uncertain, but Colin Farrell will be returning as the cunning mobster in Matt Reeves’ upcoming Batman sequel.
