Although fans had to wait a while after Avengers: Endgame, the seven-year gap between that film and Doomsday is a particularly long one in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s the second-longest gap between two movies in the same series, surpassed only by the eight-year wait between Captain America: Civil War and Captain America: Brave New World.
