Because Kilmer’s performance is so strong, Pacula doesn’t always get the recognition she deserves for playing such a witty and engaging partner.

The connection between Doc Holliday and Big Nose Kate is just as powerful as the famous friendship between Doc and Wyatt Earp. Doc is a wanderer, and his relationship with Earp is casual, but it’s immediately obvious that he and Kate share a strong, unspoken bond and truly understand each other, going beyond a typical relationship.

Known as “Big Nose” Kate – a nickname she actually had in life, not something made up for the movie Tombstone – she and Doc Holliday have a surprisingly sweet connection.
