Kate Winslet will be heading to New Zealand for five months to film a new movie. She’s been cast as the main female character in The Hunt for Gollum. This news follows reports that the film is considering recasting some of the iconic roles from The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Warner Bros. hasn’t revealed which character Kate Winslet will portray. Recent reports suggest a female character within her age range. Based on this, fans of The Lord of the Rings believe she won’t be taking over a role from the original movies, but rather playing a completely new character.
