It’s Halloween, which for many means it’s time for horror movie marathons! As a big fan of both scary films and the Real Housewives series (available on Peacock), I was thrilled to find a funny video that cleverly compares iconic Housewives moments with scenes from classic horror movies. I’m completely hooked and can’t stop watching!
I love watching horror movies and keeping up with all the drama on the Real Housewives shows – and I’m not alone, especially among LGBTQ+ fans. This incredible video perfectly captures that shared love, and you absolutely have to see it. Here’s the link:

Seriously, the editing on Hayu Social is amazing! Whoever put it together deserves recognition – the choices are just perfect. They not only remembered all the times the Housewives mentioned or copied scary movies, but they brilliantly paired those moments with clips from the actual horror franchises. It makes you wonder if these ladies should officially be considered ‘Final Girls’! I definitely think so.
The video starts with some clever comparisons. Wendy Osefo being playfully attacked by her parrot, T’Challa, on her boat reminded viewers of the classic film The Birds, and a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City was edited to feel like the movie The Blair Witch Project. From there, things quickly got even more outlandish.

As a movie and TV critic, I’ve been checking out Peacock, and it’s a surprisingly good value. Starting at just $7.99 a month (or $79.99 for the year), it’s the place to binge-watch all things Real Housewives. You can upgrade to Peacock Premium or Premium Plus for ad-free viewing and even download shows and movies to watch when you’re offline – perfect for travel! Definitely worth considering if you’re looking for a new streaming service.
Bethenny Frankel’s iconic “Go to sleep!” moment from the Scary Island episode of RHONY was a clear nod to the movie Nightmare on Elm Street. It makes you wonder, though, which is scarier: Freddy Krueger or those unforgettable Real Housewives episodes! The city also got another mention when Luann’s line about being unwelcome at Blue Stone Manor connected to Pete Davidson’s film Bodies Bodies Bodies.
My absolute favorite moment in this clip is the comparison between Lisa Rinna dramatically leaving a party on Beverly Hills and the creepy, fast-moving children in Zach Cregger’s Weapons. That scene from the movie is instantly recognizable, and seeing Rinna linked to it almost made me burst out laughing!

I still crack up thinking about Katsanevas from Salt Lake City and that incredible line about having a “high body count” with his hair! It was brilliantly labeled as Hereditary, referencing Toni Collette’s unforgettable, explosive scene in the movie where she finally unleashes all her anger on her son. If you need a reminder of just how powerful that moment is, you can check out the scene below!
This video cleverly combines the reality show Housewives with horror elements, and it’s a perfect fit for Halloween. Fans are loving the unexpected mix, and many agree that the creator deserves recognition for such a fun and creative idea.
As a reality TV fan, I’m excited that Peacock has all the seasons of Real Housewives available! Plus, new episodes of Salt Lake City, Orange County, and Potomac are coming out as part of next year’s lineup. Honestly, with so many of the women now facing legal troubles, it’s starting to feel less like a guilty pleasure and more like a true-crime horror show – and I’m kind of here for it!
