‘The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil’ Remake Lands ‘Saw’ Director James WAN

A new version of a little-known but exciting action-horror film is in the works with a fantastic director – the person behind Aquaman and Saw. Even better, one of the original movie’s stars – a seriously underrated action hero – is returning to play his part and help produce the remake. Hopefully, both the movie and its star will finally get the recognition they deserve.

This filmmaker is famous for launching hugely successful horror series like Saw, Insidious, and The Conjuring. He’s also proven his ability to direct big-budget action movies, including Aquaman, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and the 2021 horror film Malignant. So, who could be a better choice to direct this action thriller, which combines a buddy-cop story with horror elements?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, James Wan will direct the English-language remake of a popular action crime thriller. The story centers around a gangster and a police officer who must work together to stop a dangerous serial killer. Ma Dong-seok, known as Don Lee and a star in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, played the gangster in the original film and is expected to reprise the role in the remake. Fans of the original and Don Lee will likely enjoy this new version.
