‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Finally Gets a Streaming Release Date

The animated film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, is coming to Disney+ soon, giving subscribers a chance to watch Marvel’s First Family’s introduction to the MCU at home. While the movie didn’t perform as well in theaters this summer as hoped, and didn’t reach the success of films like Superman, it now has a chance to find a wider audience through streaming.

According to Gizmodo, the movie The Fantastic Four: First Steps will start streaming on Disney+ on November 5th. It became available to purchase digitally in late September. Similar to other big Disney+ releases, First Steps will be shown in IMAX Enhanced, meaning everyone can watch it with an expanded screen size, staying true to how the filmmakers envisioned it. Those with compatible TVs and sound systems will also be able to enjoy enhanced sound quality using DTS:X.

Directed by Matt Shakman, The Fantastic Four: First Steps stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm / Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm / Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm / Thing, Ralph Ineson as Galactus, Julia Garner as Silver Surfer, Paul Walter Hauser as Mole Man, Sarah Niles as Lynne Nichols and Natasha Lyonne as Rachel Rozman. Read the official plot synopsis:

While juggling their heroic duties and family lives, they must protect Earth from Galactus (Ralph Ineson), a powerful space god who intends to consume the planet, and his mysterious assistant, the Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). Things take a particularly dangerous turn when Galactus’s plans become deeply personal for the team.
