When Bully first came out in 2006, it quickly became a favorite among Rockstar Games fans. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been a new game in the series since then, aside from some re-releases. This has led fans to create their own projects and try to revive the franchise.
As a big fan of those classic games, I was so excited to discover a new game on Steam that really feels like the same spirit! It’s not made by Rockstar, but it captures a lot of what I loved about them.
Agefield High Is Basically Bully 2
Due Out In Q2 Of 2026
Agefield High: Rock the School is a new game where you play as a high school student trying to become popular. The creators at Refugium Games say the game takes inspiration from more than just Bully, aiming to recreate the high school experience of the early 2000s. You’ll navigate friendships, try to win over the girl of your dreams, and cause a little trouble – all while inspired by the fun, rebellious teen comedies of that time. It’s a story about growing up, friendship, love, and a little bit of rebellion.
The game is set in 2002, as shown in the trailer, though official materials mention the “early 2000s.” You play as Sam, a new student at Agefield High, and your goal is to become a school legend with your friends Kale and Axel. Agefield features a dynamic time system, including school bells during the week (which you can choose to skip). You’ll be able to explore the town of Agefield, including the high school itself, two residential areas, a town center, and the surrounding countryside.
The developer repeatedly emphasizes that the game takes inspiration from the over-the-top comedies of the early 2000s, which might not appeal to everyone. I’m curious to see how they handle the promised “edgy and crude humor,” as it needs strong acting and writing to really work. The official trailer offers a preview of the game’s style, and it feels like a blend of Bully and American Pie.
Rockstar Can’t Shut This One Down
It’s Nearly Here
Agefield High offers a campaign that’s expected to take between 8 and 10 hours to complete, which feels like a good length – similar to the original Bully game that took around 15 hours. You’ll explore the school and get into mischief through 32 main missions and 15 side quests, ultimately working towards one of two different endings.
If you enjoyed the Bully game, you should definitely keep an eye on Agefield High and read some reviews when it comes out. As an open-world game, there’s always a risk things won’t go perfectly, but it’s good to see someone attempting a game like this.
