The sequel to “Batman,” titled “The Batman Part II,” is progressing with thrilling developments, as confirmed by a notable actor set to appear in the much-awaited follow-up.

What is the latest The Batman 2 update?

In his latest Instagram post, actor Jeffrey Wright (known for portraying Commissioner Jim Gordon in the films) shared a picture of a sealed zipper envelope. The image might seem ordinary, but Wright’s accompanying bat emoji hinted at an exciting secret-the envelope contained Matt Reeves’ script for the upcoming second film!

As per the latest update, the highly anticipated sequel to The Batman, referred to as either The Batman 2, The Batman Part II, or The Batman Part 2, is set to kickstart its production at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in London, United Kingdom on New Year’s Day, 2026.

Robert Pattinson is set to resume his character as Batman in the upcoming film. The website indicates that Farrell, Andy Serkis (as Alfred), and Jeffrey Wright (as Commissioner Gordon) are all expected to rejoin the cast. It’s anticipated that Barry Keoghan may return as the Joker, although this has not been officially confirmed by Warner Bros. Pictures at this time.
