I don’t believe Spencer and his partner are destined to fail. I think they could have a really good relationship if they weren’t limited to dating within their friend group. Of course, the long-term success of any relationship is always uncertain, but I see potential for a healthy connection if they were able to explore things outside of that dynamic.

I believe they’re drawn to each other because they both appreciate each other’s honesty, something they haven’t experienced much lately. Plus, there’s a definite chemistry between them.

He believes Wrigley approaches this breakup determined to be honest and end the relationship.

I believe when he enters the room and sees her, it hits him – the full impact of what he’s about to say. He understands the significance of their history and everything they’ve experienced together. He probably doesn’t expect it to be such an emotional moment, but it ultimately is.

I really connected with that scene because it felt very relatable – a lot of people experience something similar when they’re going through a breakup. You often tell yourself it’s the right thing to do, but then, in the moment, you realize how much the relationship actually meant to you. I think that realization is particularly impactful for this character.

Spencer thinks a large part of the person wants to remain involved, estimating around 98%. He believes that when you date someone, you have a responsibility to ensure their well-being and happiness, sometimes even prioritizing that over your own. He feels this person is recently out of a relationship and still feels obligated to check on their ex, despite no longer being together. Ultimately, Spencer doesn’t believe this person genuinely wants to leave.

TopMob: “Season 3 has shown more of Wrigley’s vulnerability, especially now that his feelings for Bree have been unpacked. How challenging was it to navigate Wrigley’s vulnerability this season?”

Actually, working on Spencer House felt really good – surprisingly, it wasn’t difficult at all. I really enjoyed playing the Wrigley character and felt a strong connection to the role. It was like I’d experienced similar situations before, which made it feel natural. It definitely wasn’t as demanding as the first season was.
