Tell Me Lies Season 3: Scandal and Romance Return to Hulu

Season 3 of Hulu’s Tell Me Lies is on the way, and the drama continues! Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) are back together, but their complicated relationship brings even more problems and secrets to light.

Hulu has released the trailer for season two of Tell Me Lies, promising more drama and scandal for the show’s characters. The new season kicks off January 13th with the first two episodes available on both Hulu and Disney+. Based on Carola Lovering’s novel, the series is also executive produced by actress Emma Roberts and centers around a complicated and turbulent love story.

Season 2 of Tell Me Lies was a hit with viewers, quickly becoming popular online. Critics generally liked the show, giving it a 75% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while audiences scored it even higher with an 81% rating.

I was really surprised to hear Tom Ellis mention in an interview that his wife, Meaghan Oppenheimer, always intended Season 3 to be the end of the show. She wrote the whole series and apparently planned it from the beginning to wrap up after this season, even with his character, Oliver – a teacher having an affair with his student, Bree, played by Catherine Missal – being so central to the story.

The final episodes of Oppenheimer promise to be captivating as they resolve the many ongoing mysteries and dramatic conflicts, including the complicated history between Lucy and Stephen. While Hulu hasn’t announced whether there will be a season 4, its decision will likely depend on how well season 3 does on the platform.

The season 2 finale delivered a major shock when Evan and Bree got married in a flashback to 2015. True to form, Stephen waited until the wedding day to tell Evan he’d known about a past one-night stand Evan had with Lucy during college. The episode ended with Bree overhearing the confession on a voice recording, leaving viewers wondering how this revelation will impact their relationship.

I’m really excited to hear that the cast – including Jackson Ellis and Agnes Cook – is coming back for what might be the last season of Tell Me Lies! It’s great they’re bringing back familiar faces like Natalee Missal, Benjamin Van Patten, Sophie White, Spencer House, Sonia Mena, and Alicia Crowder too. The new season is set to premiere on January 13th, so mark your calendars!
