Taylor Swift Jetsetted From Selena Gomez’s Wedding And Left In Time To Sneak Into The Chiefs Game

Although Travis Kelce was absent from Selena Gomez’s wedding to Benny Blanco on Saturday, Taylor Swift definitely made sure to be there for her close friend’s special day. Fans, known as Swifties, speculated that her weekend trip to California might mean Kelce would be without her support when the Chiefs played the Ravens on Sunday. However, those worries were unfounded-Swift reportedly flew back to Kansas City quickly enough to arrive at Arrowhead Stadium without being noticed.

Following the announcement of Selena Gomez’s engagement, reports suggested her close friend Taylor Swift would be present at the wedding, and it appears she had a significant part to play. According to People, the The Life of a Showgirl artist was one of Gomez and Benny Blanco’s famous friends who gave speeches during the wedding reception. A source revealed:

The reception was a lively celebration that went on late into the night. Everyone was having a great time, and the atmosphere was incredibly fun. Selena and Benny were radiant all evening, and neither of them could wipe the smiles off their faces. You could really feel the love in the room.

Ed Sheeran, a close friend of Benny Blanco, is also said to have given a speech at the reception. The event was attended by a star-studded guest list including Paul Rudd, SZA, Paris Hilton, Camila Cabello, Cara Delevingne, Eric Andre and Finneas. Several of Selena Gomez’s co-stars were also present, such as Ashley Park, David Henrie, Edgar Ramirez and Zoe Saldaña. Steve Martin and Martin Short reportedly shared a speech together at the rehearsal dinner on Friday.

It seems like the party was a lively one, and hopefully Taylor Swift had some fun before leaving the fancy Santa Barbara resort. According to The Daily Mail, tracking data showed the “Delicate” singer’s private jet was on its way back to Kansas City late Saturday night, just a few hours after the event.

It was clear Travis Kelce was thrilled to have his fiancée supporting him as the Chiefs won against the Baltimore Ravens with a score of 37-20. However, viewers at home didn’t actually see her on camera. Although Taylor Swift wasn’t visible in the Kelce family’s seating area, fans noticed her father, Scott, and brother, Austin, sitting close to Travis’ mother, Donna Kelce.

It looks like Taylor Swift always keeps things interesting! This weekend confirms that, as she gets ready to launch her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3rd. Having a private jet certainly makes things easier, but it’s great she didn’t have to choose between cheering on her close friend and watching her fiancé play.

If he hadn’t been sure before, that trip likely confirmed she was “The One” for him.
