As a huge Disney fan, I was so excited to hear the news on January 7th that Milo Manheim and Teagan Croft will be playing the leads in the live-action “Tangled”! Honestly, when the announcement dropped, everyone online seemed convinced they’d known for ages. But Milo actually said that wasn’t true at all – they just found out recently too, which is great to hear!

Zachary Levi told Entertainment Weekly he only found out he’d been cast in Tangled a very short time before Disney announced it to the public. He joked that people assumed he’d known for ages and kept it under wraps, but actually, he learned he’d be playing Flynn Rider just ten minutes before the news broke. He described it as a normal day that unexpectedly turned amazing when the announcement was made.

The actor explained that going from a regular day to playing Flynn Rider felt incredibly strange and unreal. He also shared that the enthusiastic response from fans overwhelmed him immediately. “It was like everyone was celebrating this role with me, and it felt truly joyful. I remember feeling a tingling sensation all over and being flooded with positive emotions,” Manheim said.

Milo Manheim, known for his roles in Disney’s Zombies and School Spirits, is taking over the voice of Flynn Rider, a character originally voiced by Zachary Levi in the 2010 animated film Tangled. Manheim says he’s excited to bring care and respect to the role, adding that he’s a big fan of the movie and ready for the ‘adventure of a lifetime.’

Michael Gracey is expected to direct the upcoming live-action movie, though a release date hasn’t been announced yet.
