Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to End With Season 2

Unfortunately, a popular show on Paramount+ will be concluding after its second season airs next month.

Why is Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ending?

I’m really bummed to hear that Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is ending after just two seasons! Jeff Sneider reported that while the show, which started in August 2024, is finishing up its second season next month, Paramount actually ordered a bunch more episodes – enough for potential seasons three and four. It’s a shame we won’t get to see those, honestly!

According to Sneider’s report, some writing and even animation work had begun for Season 3 of the show. However, Paramount ultimately decided to cancel it. The studio is now exploring options like finding other companies to help with production or licensing the show to someone else.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back in a new animated series that continues the story from the 2023 movie. The original voice actors return, including Micah Abbey as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. as Michelangelo, Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo, Brady Noon as Raphael, and Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil. The series will also feature special appearances by Pete Davidson as RoRod, a wealthy fan of mutants, and Alanna Ubach as Bishop, a smart inventor who sees mutants as a threat to humankind.

This series follows the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Leo, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey – as they leave the sewers and navigate life in New York City. They’ll face new dangers, team up with familiar friends, and battle villains while also dealing with the challenges of being teenagers.
