The future of the hit show Euphoria is still being discussed, and the latest installment is getting positive reactions from the show’s original cast. Despite rumors that Season 3 might be the last, creator Sam Levinson hasn’t officially confirmed it. Sydney Sweeney recently spoke with Variety at the premiere of her new movie, Christy, about what’s next for Euphoria after the upcoming season.
Sydney Sweeney has been with Euphoria since the very beginning, describing returning to set as feeling like coming home to family. The actress, who plays Cassie Howard, revealed she was only 20 years old when they filmed the first season, and it will have been four years since the end of Season 2 when Season 3 finally premieres in 2026.
When asked about the possibility of a fourth season or the show’s future, the actress simply stated she couldn’t share any details.
The interviewer pressed Sydney Sweeney on whether she’d like to see the show go on, and if she’s interested in continuing to explore her character, Cassie’s, journey. Sweeney responded that she’s definitely open to continuing if there are more stories to tell within the show’s world, adding, “I love Cassie.”
The actress, surprised by the show’s popularity, confessed she hadn’t anticipated staying with the series for so long. She said she never considered how long it might run. She explained that while you always hope a show you enjoy will continue, she was simply hoping to return for additional seasons and hadn’t thought beyond that.

Jacob Elordi, known for his role as Nate Jacobs in Euphoria, described his time on set as a fantastic and freeing experience. He enjoyed playing a character so different from his previous work. Elordi also commended the show’s creator, Sam Levinson, for building a story that is both smart and visually stunning, predicting viewers will really enjoy it.
