Superman HBO Max Streaming Release Date Set for DCU Movie

Superman is headed to HBO Max.

The new Superman movie, from Warner Bros. and DC Studios, came out in US cinemas this July. James Gunn wrote and directed the film, which stars David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. It’s the first film in the new DC Universe.

When will Superman be streaming on HBO Max?

Superman will be available to stream on HBO Max on Friday, September 19, 2025.

Corenswet shared a funny picture on Instagram to announce when the show would start streaming on HBO Max. The photo playfully references a running gag from the story: Sara Sampaio’s character, Eve Teschmacher, often accidentally includes evidence of Lex Luthor’s schemes in her selfies.

Warner Bros. Pictures is releasing “Superman” this summer, marking the first film from DC Studios. The film also stars Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt, also known as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan as Rex Mason, who transforms into Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, a Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Kendra Saunders, also known as Hawkgirl, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, Neva Howell as Martha Kent, María Gabriela de Faría as Angela Spica, also known as The Engineer, and Frank Grill as Rick Flag Sr.

I’m so excited! They’re making a new Superman movie! It’s called ‘Man of Tomorrow,’ and it’s coming out on July 9, 2027. From what I’ve heard, David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult will be teaming up to face a really big danger, and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out!
