Okay, so I’m a bit of a Rotten Tomatoes junkie, and I just saw that Peacock’s new show actually pulled off a perfect score. Seriously, that’s a huge deal! It’s rare to see anything get universal acclaim like that, so I’m definitely adding it to my watchlist.

Peacock, the streaming service from NBCUniversal that launched in 2020, is known for its popular and highly-rated shows like The Day of the Jackal, Poker Face, and Bel-Air. This year has seen several successful premieres, including Ponies, which earned an impressive 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Now, a new series on Peacock has achieved something even rarer: a perfect score from critics.

Before it even launched, the new Peacock series The Miniature Wife earned a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes. Created by Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner, the show centers on a couple struggling with power dynamics in their marriage, which takes a bizarre twist when a technical error reduces the wife to just six inches tall.

The film stars Elizabeth Banks, a four-time Emmy nominee, and Matthew Macfadyen, who has won two Emmys for his role in Succession. They play a married couple, and the cast also includes Zoe Lister-Jones, Sofia Rosinsky, O-T Fagbenle (an Emmy nominee known for The Handmaid’s Tale), Sian Clifford (an Emmy nominee from Fleabag), Emmy winner Ronny Chieng (The Daily Show), Aasif Mandvi, Rong Fu, and Tricia Black.

Just before its release on April 9th, the new show The Miniature Wife has earned a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
