With a significant time jump since the last season, the cast of Stranger Things has been aged up for its final episodes. Viewers have watched Millie Bobby Brown and the other young actors grow up, and the upcoming episodes – set to begin this November – will conclude the decade-long journey for these stars. Characters like Will, Mike, Eleven, and Dustin will spend their summer battling the creatures from the Upside Down.

As a huge Stranger Things fan, I’m still trying to piece together what’s going to happen in the final season! We’ve learned one thing though: there’s going to be a time jump! Apparently, the new season picks up a year and a half after the last one, taking place during the summer of 1987. It’s going to be interesting to see how everything has changed!

The show began in 1983 with its first season, and each following season was set about a year later – 1984 for Season 2, 1985 for Season 3, 1986 for Season 4, and 1987 for Season 5. Because of this consistent timeline, fans can figure out how old each character will be when the popular Netflix series finishes.

The fifth and final season of the popular show Stranger Things will be available on Netflix starting Wednesday, November 26th. The new season continues the story of the people in Hawkins, Indiana, as the dangerous world known as the Upside Down breaks through, unleashing frightening creatures onto their town.

What Is Every Character’s Age In Stranger Things 5?

Eleven

By the time the fifth season of Stranger Things begins, Millie Bobby Brown’s character, Eleven, will be around 16 years old. When the series started, she was about 12 and was found by Mike and his friends after their friend Will went missing.

From the very beginning, she’s become a core part of the adventure team, bravely venturing into the dangerous Upside Down while also coming to terms with her past as a test subject in government experiments.

Mike

As a huge fan, I’m so excited to see what happens with Mike Wheeler in the final season of Stranger Things! Finn Wolfhard plays him, and like Eleven and the rest of the kids, he’ll be sixteen years old. Mike’s always been the leader of their Dungeons & Dragons group, and of course, he’s Eleven’s boyfriend, so I’m really invested in their story!

Over the course of the show’s four seasons, Mike has faced incredible challenges, including the disappearance and eventual reunion with a friend, battles against monsters from another dimension, and even discovering romance.

Dustin

Dustin, played by Gaten Matarazzo (known for his work in LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy), is a fan-favorite character on Stranger Things. He’ll be turning sixteen during the show’s fifth and final season.

Dustin has always been known as the most courageous of the teenage characters, but that might shift in Season 5. Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin, says his character will experience significant sadness in the upcoming episodes. It’s currently unclear who or what he’ll be mourning.

Lucas

Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas on Stranger Things, might face some difficult emotional scenes in the new season. At the end of the last season, his girlfriend Max was left in a coma, and it’s currently unknown if she’ll recover.

Just like his co-stars, Lucas will turn 16 during the show’s last episodes. He first appeared way back in Season 1 as an 11 or 12-year-old.

Will

Despite being only 16 years old, Noah Schnapp’s character, Will Byers, has had to deal with very adult problems. It all started in Season 1 when Will was kidnapped and first encountered the strange world known as the Upside Down, effectively kicking off the entire series of events.

In Season 5, the character will face some difficult storylines. These include speculation about a possible love interest – or the absence of one – and the unsettling possibility that there was a dark reason behind his disappearance years ago.

Max

Sadie Sink will be back as Max in the fifth and final season of Stranger Things before taking on a new, currently unknown role in Spider-Man 4. Although she joined the main group of teenage characters in Season 2, she’s still the most recent addition to the core cast.

Max will also turn sixteen in the fifth season, but she might not have a large role. After a confrontation with Vecna in Season 4 – set to Kate Bush’s music – Max fell into a coma. Trailers for Stranger Things 5 suggest she’ll be in bed for at least part of the final season.

Steve

Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington, is actually the oldest member of the show’s younger cast. When we first met Steve in Season 1, he was a junior in high school. By the end of Season 3, he’d graduated and has been doing various jobs around Hawkins ever since.

When the fifth season begins, the former prom king is now twenty years old and is fighting the creatures from the Upside Down with his younger friends once more.

Nancy

In Season 5, Nancy Wheeler (played by Natalia Dyer) is 19 years old. She’s a year younger than Steve Harrington, and finished high school sometime between seasons three and four of the show.

Nancy is Mike Wolfhard’s older sister and is starting her career after high school. She’s working at the local newspaper, hoping to become a journalist.

Jonathan

Jonathan Byers, played by Charlie Heaton, is a student in Nancy’s class and the protective older brother of Will Byers (played by Noah Schnapp). He’s 19 years old and incredibly dedicated to his family’s well-being.

By the start of Season 5, Jonathan and Nancy have been together for a few years. That summer, after graduating high school, they both work at the same newspaper – Jonathan as a photographer and Nancy as a reporter.

Robin

Maya Hawke, who plays Robin in Stranger Things Season 5, is another one of the show’s young adult characters. Viewers first met Robin as Steve Harrington’s colleague at Soops Ahoy in the Hawkins Mall. She’s about 19 years old and went to school with Steve, Nancy, and Jonathan.
