Stranger Things Creators Say Rewatch These 4 Episodes Before Season 5

This show is truly one of the most captivating and thrilling on TV. The biggest drawback, though, is having to wait so long for new seasons.

It’s easy to lose track of details in TV shows, especially with long gaps between seasons. For fans of Stranger Things, it’s been a particularly long wait since Season 4 came out in 2022. Recently, the show revealed the four episodes from Season 4 that viewers should rewatch before Season 5 premieres on November 26th.

If you’re short on time and want a refresher before the new season starts, the show’s creators have suggested rewatching a few key episodes. They recommend revisiting two episodes from Season 2 and two from Season 4 to catch up on the important details.

Specifically, episodes 2.4 and 2.6 are key. Episode 4, directed by Shawn Levy, features Will first becoming possessed by the Mind Flayer. Episode 6, “The Spy,” then shows how the Mind Flayer continues to control Will, using him to gather information.

Matt Duffer said that Season 2 was when they began developing the show’s overarching story and hinting at a larger, continuing narrative. He believes this is why the mythology established in that season remains so important to the series.

In Season 4, Episode 7 reveals Vecna’s origins and the story of 001, explaining his connection to Eleven. The season culminates in Episode 9, “The Piggyback,” featuring a showdown with Vecna, his attempt to control Max, and the opening of a gate to the Upside Down.

Matt added, “Season 4 is also highly relevant — “Massacre at Hawkins Lab” is a good one.”

Ross Duffer said the episode begins to reveal more about the history and rules of the Upside Down, offering some explanations to long-standing questions. He also noted that the storyline involving Henry and Eleven continues to be important as the show moves into its fifth season, making this episode a good one to rewatch.

Stranger Things Finale Will Answer All the Questions

I’ve been hooked on Stranger Things ever since it came out in 2016, and honestly, the final season feels like it’s taken forever to arrive! There are so many mysteries still hanging over us – things we’ve been wondering about since the very beginning, and newer questions too, like what happened to Max and how Hawkins will recover after everything that spilled over from the Upside Down. But thankfully, Shawn Levy, one of the show’s producers, has reassured us that

Levy noted that while many questions remain, the show’s creators are dedicated to providing satisfying answers for viewers. He explained that unresolved storylines can be incredibly frustrating, but a strong, conclusive ending is something audiences truly remember and appreciate.

The fifth and final season of Stranger Things will be released in two parts. The first four episodes premiere on November 26th, followed by three more episodes on December 25th, and the season concludes with the final episode on December 31st.
