A special event is happening now where gamers can discover and buy a lot of relaxing games. Called “The Fun, The Dark & The Cozy,” it features both new game demos and discounted titles, perfect for players who like a little bit of mystery or spookiness with their cozy experiences.

This Steam sale is hosted by Skull Queens Games and Third World Productions, featuring artwork by sergio_art. The sale focuses on the emotional range of video games, highlighting titles that are complex, playful, and even unsettling. Games will be grouped around three main ideas: fun, darkness, and coziness.

The Fun, The Dark & The Cozy Event Spotlights 275 Underrated Steam Games

Steam is holding a special event from February 2nd to 9th, so players need to be quick to take advantage of the deals and free games. The event includes over 275 games offering a mix of fun, spooky, and cozy experiences – something for everyone! Keep in mind that not all games featured will be free or on sale.

The event page features a selection of games that blend fun, dark, and cozy elements. You’ll find discounts on already-released titles like Cairn, Parry Nightmare, and Athenian Rhapsody, alongside newer games such as Catch & Cargo and Sucker for Love: Crush Landing.

The event also features curated collections based on different themes. Players can choose from mixes like “Dark & Cozy”, “Fun & Dark”, and “Fun & Cozy” to create their ideal gaming experience. Skull Queen Games has also created collections that fully embrace a single theme, offering “Full Cozy”, “Full Fun”, and “Full Dark” options for those who want to maximize a specific feeling.

At the bottom of the event page, you’ll find a Demos section where Steam players can try games for free. This includes both games you can already buy, such as Star Fire: Eternal Cycle and Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, and upcoming titles like Mops & Mobs and Deperson that don’t have release dates yet.

Skull Queen Games, the team behind the event, is a group primarily composed of women and LGBTQ+ individuals who are passionate about pursuing their creative visions, even when faced with challenges. They’ve already released Breakout Epilepsia, a quick and stylish arcade game inspired by the classic Breakout. They’re currently working on several new titles, including Take a Hint, a free-to-play visual novel, A House Inside Me, a psychological horror game, and Dungeon Killer, an action-packed shoot-em-up.
