Star Wars: Upcoming Movie Could Kickstart New Trilogy Says Insider

According to an inside source, it’s possible that the upcoming Star Wars film may initiate a fresh trilogy.

On Patreon, insider Daniel Richtman mentioned the upcoming “The Mandalorian & Grogu” movie. According to his information, Disney is closely monitoring the film’s performance. If it does well, as per Richtman, Disney might produce more movies within that timeline. Reportedly, Lucasfilm is considering a trilogy for this particular film series.

What do we know about the next Star Wars movie?

It’s not just Disney who are eagerly anticipating the forthcoming movie. Back in the year, Pedro Pascal, who plays Din Djarin in the series, called it one of the “most epic adventure movies” out there, and director Bryce Dallas Howard also expressed positive sentiments about the upcoming Jon Favreau-led film.

In addition to Pascal, The Mandalorian and Grogu, Sigourney Weaver, Jeremy Allen White, and Johnny Coyne are also set to appear in the show, along with several other stars.

In a continuation of the popular Disney+ series, The Mandalorian and Grogu’s storyline will transition onto the silver screen. Jon Favreau will take on dual roles as both producer and director for this movie, while Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni are also involved as producers.

In the third season of Star Wars, the adventures of the Mandalorian across the galaxy persist. Originally a solitary bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reconnected with Grogu once more. Meanwhile, the New Republic endeavors to guide the galaxy towards a brighter future, but its past shadows linger. The Mandalorian will encounter old companions and form new adversaries as he and Grogu journey together, forging ahead through various encounters.

The program is produced by executive team members Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, Karen Gilchrist, and Carrie Beck. Jon Favreau acts as the show’s head producer and one of the directors for season three. You can now stream seasons 1-3 on Disney+, where it has risen to be one of the platform’s most watched series and contributed to a renewed interest in Star Wars television productions.
