Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2 Gets Exciting Update From Rosario Dawson

As a huge Star Wars fan, I was so excited to hear some real news about Ahsoka Season 2! It’s been over two years since the first season finished – I loved those eight episodes, and it was great to see it get such good reviews, with an 85% ‘Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I’ve been eagerly waiting for an update on when we might see more Ahsoka, and it’s good to finally have one!

I’m so excited to share that filming for Season 2 of Ahsoka is officially done! Rosario Dawson, who plays Ahsoka, announced it on social media – she even shared a photo of the awesome metal posters she gave to the entire crew as a thank you. The artwork features Ahsoka and it’s truly epic. What a cool way to show appreciation for all their hard work!

That’s a wrap on production! I was so happy to give nearly 1,000 of these special metal posters to our amazing Ahsoka Season 2 crew. This team is incredible, and I hope they enjoy a little reminder of the galaxy until we work together again. May the Force be with them!

It’s currently unknown why Natasha Dawson removed her post about finishing filming for the second season, especially since she wasn’t the only cast member to share such an update. Earlier this month, both Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays Sabine Wren, and Eman Esfandi, who plays Ezra Bridger, announced they had finished filming their parts.

Dave Filoni, the creator of popular Star Wars animated series like The Clone Wars and Rebels, wrote and executive produced Ahsoka. The first season takes place in the same time period as The Mandalorian and follows Ahsoka Tano as she travels the galaxy to investigate a new danger after the Empire’s defeat. The show features a talented cast including Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, Wes Chatham as Captain Enoch, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, and David Tennant providing the voice of Huyang. Rory McCann stepped in to play Baylan Skoll in Season 2, following the passing of Ray Stevenson.
