Pluto TV is marking 60 years of Star Trek with a special offer for fans! For a limited time – until the end of January – Pluto TV will feature a dedicated Star Trek section. This section will include five different channels, with one becoming a permanent addition and another available for a limited time only.
The Star Trek section will include existing channels for the original Star Trek series, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager. A new channel dedicated to Star Trek: The Next Generation will also be added. After a limited-time run, the Next Generation channel will become a permanent part of Pluto TV’s Star Trek offerings.
To celebrate, we’ve created a special Star Trek pop-up channel, including a dedicated Star Trek: Enterprise channel. The Star Trek: Enterprise channel will only be available for a limited time, disappearing at the end of the month, but you can still watch Star Trek: Enterprise on Pluto TV’s Sci-Fi channel. When the special Star Trek pop-up is over, all other Star Trek channels will move to Pluto TV’s Sci-Fi category.
To mark both the 60th anniversary of Star Trek and the release of new content on Paramount+, a special Star Trek channel has launched on Pluto TV. Pluto TV is promoting this channel with materials designed like a college course syllabus, a fitting approach considering the many hidden references and details within the new series.
The show is filled with references to Star Trek history. Fans especially love seeing Harry Kim as an admiral on the ‘Wall of Heroes.’ We’ve also named spaces within the ship after important characters – the atrium is called the ‘Sato Atrium,’ and there’s an ‘Uhura Pavilion.’ We really wanted to pay tribute to those who came before us, and episode 5 is basically a tribute to Deep Space Nine.
Star Trek Celebrates 60 Years
Pluto TV isn’t the only place celebrating Star Trek’s 60th anniversary in 2026. Fans can also anticipate the premiere of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, plus more episodes of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Beyond Paramount+, there’s a new Star Trek: Scouts show coming to YouTube for kids, Star Trek content on Webtoon, and ongoing discussions about the future of the current series and whether its creators will continue to be involved.
We’ve discussed this, but we need to work out the details regarding the timeline and overall plan. I’ve already met with everyone individually at length, and we’re scheduling a larger meeting after we finish season two of Starfleet to discuss it as a group. I’m not involved in the movie side of things, so I don’t know their plans. Ideally, we’ll all be able to coordinate and make sure everyone is on the same page.
I’ve really enjoyed working on Trek – it’s been even better than I expected. If everyone is up for continuing, that would be great, and we’ll just take it from there.
