An actor from the unreleased Spider-Man 4, which was once planned as a continuation of the ‘Brand New Day’ storyline, jokingly shared the single thing he’s permitted to mention about the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man films.
The new Spider-Man movie, titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day, will hit US theaters this July. Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is directing. Tom Holland is back as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and Zendaya and Jacob Batalon will return as MJ and Ned, respectively.

Jacob Batalon, discussing Spider-Man 4 on SiriusXM, shared that details about the potential ‘Brand New Day’ storyline are still being kept secret. He did mention one small thing he’s allowed to say: there’s a bit of information he can reveal.
“I do have hair in it, but that’s probably the most I could say.”
The new Spider-Man movie features Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon, alongside returning Marvel stars Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Michael Mando as Scorpion, and Marvin Jones III as Tombstone. Sadie Sink (from Stranger Things), Liza Colón-Zayas (from The Bear), and Trammel Tillman (from Severance) have also joined the cast in currently unknown roles, sparking lots of online theories about their characters.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives on July 31, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU.
The next Avengers movies are scheduled for release on December 18, 2026 (Avengers: Doomsday) and December 17, 2027 (Avengers: Secret Wars). Both films will be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, known as the Russo Brothers. While Tom Holland’s involvement hasn’t been confirmed, Sadie Sink’s character is expected to appear in Avengers: Secret Wars.
