Marvel fans might finally get their first look at the trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day later this week. With the movie set to hit theaters this summer, Sony Pictures appears to be starting its marketing push early. This news follows recent online leaks that revealed some of the film’s villains, including Scorpion, who will be played by Michael Mando.
A trailer for the new Spider-Man movie, Brand New Day, is expected to be released this Wednesday, March 18th. This information comes from a now-removed post by one of Sony’s international distributors. Although Sony’s official U.S. accounts haven’t confirmed it, the timing aligns with earlier reports that the trailer would arrive before the release of Project Hail Mary. If the post is accurate, fans can likely watch the preview around 7:05 a.m. Eastern Time, and it may even play in movie theaters before showings of the new Ryan Gosling film.
The new Spider-Man movie, Brand New Day, is scheduled for release on July 31st. Some might be concerned about the trailer being released so early – four months before the film comes out – but this is typical for Sony Pictures. The previous movie, No Way Home, which earned over $1.9 billion, followed the same release schedule. While Brand New Day doesn’t feature other Spider-Man actors alongside Tom Holland, it still promises to be exciting for fans, effectively restarting the film series and beginning a fresh chapter for the character.
