The upcoming movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, will be the 38th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Tom Holland’s fourth film as Spider-Man. It’s scheduled for release on July 31st as part of Phase 6 of the MCU. For a while, fans were concerned about the lack of promotion, but that changed with the release of the first teaser trailer, which features a lot of exciting villains.
The marketing for the new Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie is ramping up. A new poster was revealed through a sweepstakes on the Sony Pictures website, which runs from January 21st to August 23rd, 2026. The poster appeared alongside promotional images for GOAT, Insidious, and Breadwinner. It’s quickly spread online and is only the second official image released for the film, following a poster seen in theaters last August.

Okay, so the new poster just dropped, and it’s…strikingly simple. We’re talking a really stark, shadowy Spider-Man logo against a deep red backdrop. Honestly, I was hoping for a bit more—a glimpse of our hero in action, maybe a hint of who he’s up against, or even one of those fun little Easter eggs fans love to find. It’s incredibly minimal, almost too minimal. But, you know what? It works. It’s grabbed my attention, and that’s saying something considering the movie is still months away. It’s a bold move, and I’m curious to see if this minimalist approach continues with the marketing campaign.

The second poster was more captivating than the first. The initial promotional artwork for Brand New Day was a Spanish-language display found in theaters and first shared on Reddit. It featured Spider-Man in his updated red and blue suit, posing traditionally while shooting a web upside down.

This poster at least gives us a clearer look at the Spider-Man suit Peter Parker will wear in Brand New Day. While interesting, it doesn’t quite have the same impact as the initial posters for previous Spider-Man movies in the MCU, which all made a stronger first impression.
Every First MCU Spider-Man Poster
The first poster for Spider-Man: Homecoming, a collaboration between Sony and Marvel, signaled a fresh take on the superhero. It featured a casual Peter Parker, wearing his school jacket over his Spider-Man suit, relaxing and listening to music on a rooftop with the New York City skyline in the background. This light and breezy image was a departure from the more serious and somber posters used in earlier Spider-Man movies.

The first poster for Spider-Man: Far From Home caused a buzz when it was released with the movie’s first trailer in January 2019. The poster showed Spider-Man’s mask covered in travel stickers representing cities and locations like New York, Prague, and the Alps. This was a smart way to hint at the movie’s story: Peter Parker going on a school trip to Europe and trying to enjoy a break from being Spider-Man.

The initial poster for Spider-Man: No Way Home was remarkably creative. Released in November 2021, before the movie came out in December, it featured Tom Holland’s Spider-Man facing off against Doctor Octopus’s robotic arms. The Green Goblin was subtly visible in the background, and lightning hinted at the appearance of Electro, played by Jamie Foxx. A swirl of sand also suggested the return of Sandman.

This Spider-Man poster is incredibly eye-catching – possibly one of the best ever released. With the promotion for Brand New Day gaining momentum, we can expect to see more posters in the future. Let’s hope those upcoming posters are even more thrilling and show us more of what’s to come.
