Sadie was kidnapped by the organization Damage Control, where she was tortured. Spider-Man eventually rescued her, but she was also being pursued by a man resembling the character with a mustache from the show Severance.

A supposed leak of the plot for the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day suggests that Jean Grey will be taken into custody by Damage Control. Damage Control is already known in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the group responsible for dealing with incidents involving super-powered individuals.
