We’ve finally gotten our first glimpse of Scorpion’s live-action costume for the upcoming Spider-Man 4! Promotional images connected to new merchandise seem to confirm Michael Mando will reprise his role as the classic Marvel villain. The images also hint that Tarantula and Boomerang will appear in the new MCU film.
Scorpion’s suit in Spider-Man 4 revealed by official art
New promotional images suggest we have a first look at Scorpion’s design in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie. The images appeared on a banner at a Brazilian store called Piticas and showed illustrated characters from the film.
The new artwork features a fresh look at Michael Mando as Mac Gargan in his Scorpion suit, along with the Hulk, Tarantula, and Boomerang. Although the image was removed shortly after being posted, it quickly gained a lot of attention from fans excited to see what these villains will look like in the movie.
A promotional image for Spider-Man 4 reveals Scorpion without his mask, wearing a powerful, comic book-style armored suit. This design emphasizes his intimidating strength and suggests he’ll be a significant challenge for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the upcoming movie.
News that Michael Mando would return to the role he played in Spider-Man: Homecoming first surfaced on August 1, 2025. Pictures from the set later revealed his character in prison clothes, suggesting how he’ll be reintroduced to the story before becoming the Scorpion.
Notably, the artwork also shows Tarantula and Boomerang wearing masks that match their comic book appearances. As of now, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios haven’t revealed who will play these characters, or even confirmed they’ll be in the movie. If they do appear, this would be the first time these versions of the characters have been seen in live-action.
As the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day gets closer – it’s only about six months away – we’re starting to see more details about the movie. The recent announcements make fans wonder when we’ll get a first look at footage and how these villains will play a role in the overall story. One thing is certain: Spider-Man 4 is shaping up to be Peter Parker’s most challenging fight yet, and it arrives in theaters on July 31st.
