According to a recent report, a fan-favorite MCU character will be appearing in Spider-Man 4.
Currently, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are making Spider-Man 4, which is also being called Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Tom Holland will return to play Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
Who is reportedly appearing in Spider-Man 4?
After many reports suggesting Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock/Daredevil might appear in Spider-Man 4, Nuke the Fridge is now stating that he will, in fact, be part of the Marvel film.
Currently, there’s no official word on whether Cox will be part of Brand New Day, so this information should be considered just a rumor for now.
Honestly, it wouldn’t shock me if Daredevil popped up in Spider-Man 4. Remember, Charlie Cox *did* make a quick cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home back in 2021. And we already know Jon Bernthal is reprising his role as Frank Castle/The Punisher for the next film. Considering the established history between Daredevil and Punisher within the MCU, seeing Daredevil join the Brand New Day storyline feels pretty natural, doesn’t it?
Official plot details for Spider-Man 4 remain under wraps at this time.
The movie’s cast features Zendaya as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, and Marvin Jones III as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone. Plus, Sadie Sink from Stranger Things, Liza Colón-Zayas from The Bear, and Tramell Tillman from Severance have also joined the cast, though their roles haven’t been revealed yet.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released in US cinemas on July 31, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU. Avengers: Doomsday will follow on December 18, 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars is currently scheduled for December 17, 2027.
