Franchises often last for many years, and popular film series like Mission: Impossible, Rambo, and Fast & Furious demonstrate that audiences continue to enjoy them even decades after the first film. The Sniper series is another example of a long-lasting franchise.
Sniper: No Nation Is Just as Action-Packed as Previous Entries
The Sniper movies consistently deliver thrilling action, and that remains true even after over thirty years. As the new clip shows, Sniper: No Nation is full of intense moments and doesn’t disappoint.
In this new short film, Chad Michael Collins returns as Sergeant Brandon Beckett and Ryan Robbins as Agent Zeke Rosenberg. They’re on their most dangerous mission yet, boarding a ship after being officially disowned for what happened in Costa Verde. As they move forward, they quickly realize the risks are extremely high.
The scene opens with Beckett discovering a covered corpse. Soon after, both Beckett and Zero are battling their way through the ship, despite being wounded. The intense footage highlights how well Beckett and Zero work together, demonstrating a seamless coordination of skills as they take down their opponents.
What Happens in the Latest Sniper?
The new movie, Sniper: No Nation, comes out a year after the last one. While the previous film wasn’t initially well-received, it later gained popularity on Netflix in the U.S. a few months after hitting theaters.
The twelfth book in the series, titled ‘No Nation,’ sets the stage for Brandon Beckett’s most challenging battle yet, hinting at a fight where he’ll have no allies, no support, and no quarter given.
A secret operation in Costa Verde has gone public, causing an international crisis. As a result, the U.S. government is now denying any connection to the Global Response & Intelligence Team (G.R.I.T.), and is falsely labeling its members – including top sniper Brandon Beckett and Zero – as terrorists.
Now a fugitive in his own country, he learns that the Phoenix Rebellion – the only allies he had left – has been crushed by the Iron Legion, a group of mercenaries hired by the cruel Prime Minister of Costa Verde.
In Sniper: No Nation, Brandon Beckett is once again joined by his father, Thomas Beckett, portrayed by Tom Berenger. Berenger originally starred in the first three Sniper films, beginning in 1993. Chad Michael Collins took over the lead role in the fourth movie, Sniper: Reloaded (2011), and has been the main star ever since.
Berenger has been a recurring character throughout the series. He last appeared in the 2020 film Sniper: Assassin’s End, and was also referenced in the previous installment, The Last Stand.
Trevor Calverley directed the latest film, written by Sean Wathen. Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz, known for his role in The Last Stand, reprises his character as Nova.
Sniper: No Nation premieres on all digital platforms on Apr. 7.
