As a huge Batman fan, I’m so excited about the concept art for The Batman Part II! It really shows Sebastian Stan’s incredible and scary take on Two-Face. There were reports earlier this year that he was being considered for a role, and the rumors are now pointing towards him playing Harvey Dent, who we all know eventually becomes Two-Face. It looks like it’s really happening, and I can’t wait to see it!
I stumbled across some seriously cool fan art on Instagram, courtesy of mikebernaju, and it’s got me thinking about The Batman Part II. The artist reimagines Sebastian Stan as Two-Face, and honestly, the transformation is incredibly convincing. You can check it out – it’s the second image in the post, and it’s definitely worth a look!
The character’s design closely resembles Aaron Eckhart’s Two-Face from the 2008 film The Dark Knight, with the artist replacing half of Eckhart’s face with that of Sebastian Stan. The artwork also depicts the character flipping a coin, a signature element of Two-Face’s decision-making process.
Sebastian Stan recently transformed his appearance for the film A Different Man (2024), where he played an actor with a condition called neurofibromatosis who had facial surgery. The movie received an Academy Award nomination for its makeup and hairstyling, and Stan won a Golden Globe for his performance as a leading actor in a musical or comedy.
I’m really excited to hear that most of the main cast is coming back for The Batman Part II! Robert Pattinson will, of course, be returning as Batman and Bruce Wayne, and it’s great news that Jeffrey Wright is back as Jim Gordon. Plus, Andy Serkis as Alfred, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, and even Barry Keoghan as the Joker are all reportedly set to reprise their roles. It sounds like they’re building on a really strong foundation!
In addition to Sebastian Stan, who is famous for playing Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier in the Marvel movies, Scarlett Johansson is also reportedly joining the cast of The Batman Part II. She’s rumored to be playing Gilda Gold, a character who later marries Harvey Dent and becomes the villain known as Holiday.
The next Batman film will focus more on Bruce Wayne’s personal life and struggles beyond being Batman, compared to previous movies. The story will follow a new case that reveals even more widespread corruption and increasing conflict within Gotham City following the events of The Penguin.
The follow-up to The Batman was originally announced in April 2022, but it’s taken time to get going. Director Matt Reeves spent several years perfecting the script, which was finally completed in June 2025. Shooting for The Batman Part II is scheduled to start in early May 2026.
