Good news for fans of the medical comedy Scrubs! Just one week after news of the revival surfaced, we’re getting our first glimpse of what’s being called Scrubs Season 10.
Great news for fans of Scrubs! The show is officially back in production, as confirmed in a recent post on the show’s Instagram account. Zach Braff (J.D. Dorian) and Donald Faison (Dr. Christopher Turk) shared the announcement, each holding a sign that read “Now in Production.” They were quickly joined by Sarah Chalke (Dr. Elliot Reid) and Judy Reyes (Nurse Carla Espinosa), all geared up in their hospital attire.
The highly anticipated reboot of Scrubs will premiere on ABC with two episodes back-to-back on February 25, 2026, at 8 p.m. The revival was officially announced in December 2024, and the original stars – including Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, and Ken Jenkins – are all returning. John C. McGinley will reprise his role as Dr. Perry Cox, and Vanessa Bayer and Joel Kim Booster are joining the cast as new characters. Scrubs initially ran for nine seasons, beginning in 2001.
Scrubs Has Faced Some Hurdles
Before the show returns in February, there’s been a change in leadership. One of the co-showrunners, Hobart, has stepped down just weeks after production began. However, filming isn’t expected to be affected. Asteem Batra will now be the sole showrunner. Both Hobart and Batra previously worked together on the original Scrubs series and co-wrote the first episode of the reboot. Hobart will still be credited as an executive producer for the initial episodes of the new season.
The upcoming revival of Scrubs will reunite J.D. (Zach Braff) and Turk (Donald Faison) after a long period apart. The new season is expected to explore how they’ve adapted to the evolving world of medicine. Creator Bill Lawrence expressed his enthusiasm, saying he’s thrilled to bring the original team back together for this project.
The Scrubs revival will premiere with two episodes on Feb. 25, 2026, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
