Nestled between the happenings of the initial Saw movie from 2004 and its subsequent sequel, Saw X follows John Kramer’s pursuit in Mexico for a cancer treatment. Having entrusted his treatment costs to Macody Lund’s Cecilia Pederson, Kramer soon uncovers that her entire operation is a sham. Consequently, he takes up the role of the Jigsaw Killer to mete out justice on Pederson and her associates, assuming by the film’s end that he has successfully eliminated them all.

In a different scenario for Saw X, the character played by Macody Lund managed to survive Jigsaw’s trap. This was intended to lead into the unrealized Saw XI. Regrettably, a disagreement between Robert Koules and co-founder of Twisted Pictures, Mark Burg, over creative direction ultimately halted the project completely.
