I’m really excited about Sarah Snook’s new show! While it might not be quite as big as ‘Succession,’ early reviews are coming out today for ‘All Her Fault’ on Peacock, and it sounds really gripping. It’s based on a book, and it’s about a mom, Marissa Irvine – played by Snook, of course – and what happens after her little boy goes missing. It’s supposed to be a thriller, and I can’t wait to check it out!
Marissa goes to pick up her son from a playdate, but when she arrives at the address provided by another parent, the resident doesn’t recognize her and her son is nowhere to be found. The miniseries, All Her Fault, also features Dakota Fanning, Jake Lacy, Sophia Lillis, Abby Elliot, and Michael Peña. The first four episodes will debut on Peacock on November 6th.
The first season of All Her Fault has received a score of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on six reviews. This makes it the second-highest-rated TV show created by Snook, following Succession (95%) and Koala Man (87%). For Fanning, it’s her second-highest-rated TV show, behind Gen: Lock (90%) and Ripley (86%).
Sarah Snook’s new TV show was always going to be compared to Succession, the critically acclaimed series that made her famous. In 2023, she won a Primetime Emmy Award for her leading role as Shiv Roy, after previously being nominated twice as a supporting actress. She has also received two Golden Globe awards for playing this character.
Since the end of Succession, Kieran Culkin and Jeremy Strong have been focusing on boosting their film careers. Last year, both received Oscar nominations for Best Supporting Actor, with Kieran Culkin winning for A Real Pain. Now, Jeremy Strong is a potential contender for the award in 2026.
Unlike some of his previous work, Snook really aimed for a high-quality series with ‘All Her Fault’ (though Culkin has done some voice work on TV recently). Reviewers are highlighting the show’s suspense and surprising plot twists – key elements for a good thriller. The series also explores tough topics like being a parent and the challenges of family life, which could spark some interesting conversations after people watch it.
I’m not expecting “All Her Fault” to be a total cinematic revolution for Anya Snook, but from what I’ve read, it sounds like a solid film that she was genuinely drawn to. Honestly, anything the “Succession” cast does post-show is instantly interesting, and it’s great to see them continue to showcase their incredible talent. I’m definitely curious to check it out!
