Sarah Michelle Gellar Is Back On Her Horror Grind, But Still Knows How To Rock Minnie Mouse Ears In ‘Much Needed’ Disneyland Trip Pics

Given Sarah Michelle Gellar‘s extensive and diverse career, it’s surprising she hasn’t worked with Disney much. She’s definitely a fan, though – she and her family recently visited Disneyland for a relaxing break while she was working on several horror projects, including shows like Dexter and Buffy, and movie sequels.

It’s difficult to think of a better time to hit Disneyland than right now. It’s the Christmas season, and it’s also Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration. Those two things combine to make for a pretty amazing trip, and based on the photos posted to Instagram, Sarah Michelle Gellar, husband Freddie Prinze Jr., and their family certainly had a festive experience.

Gellar looks fantastic in her holiday Minnie Mouse ears – she’s pulling it off way better than most! And as a huge Disneyland food and drink fan, I especially love her choice of the Cold Brew Black Caf from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. It’s seriously one of the best drinks at Disneyland and the perfect way to start a fun-filled day.

Since Freddie Prinze Jr. voiced the character Kanan Jarrus on Star Wars: Rebels, it’s likely he had a lot of fun working on the show and exploring that universe.

Gellar shared photos from her visit, including ones from Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. She also enjoyed popular rides like Toy Story Midway Mania and Haunted Mansion Holiday. A nighttime photo in front of the festively lit It’s a Small World was a highlight. Overall, she experienced many of the best attractions at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

Visiting Disneyland will likely be a big change of pace for the actress, as her recent roles are quite different from typical Disney content. She recently starred in a sequel to I Know What You Did Last Summer, and she’s currently working on Ready or Not 2: Here I Come as a monster, and the new Buffy the Vampire Slayer series, where she’ll probably be playing a monster-slayer.
